A WLW video companion that keeps the thread

One good conversation is easy to fake. Twenty of them, in a row, that refer back to each other, is the thing this page is about.

Twelve profiles opened on this page. The roster behind the button runs past 250, and each one opens free.

Fictional AI characters only. Nobody here is a real person.

02The detail

What continuity buys, and what it costs

The difference between a chatbot and a companion is entirely in what survives the tab being closed.

A WLW video companion is judged on visit five, not visit one. Any model can be charming for ten minutes; the question is whether the sister you complained about in March comes back in April by name, whether the running joke is still running, and whether the argument you had about a film is remembered as an argument. Here it is, and the mock's connecting state is literally that lookup happening.

The cost is worth naming. Continuity means the thread has a shape, and a shape can be inconvenient — you cannot always start fresh, and a mood you set three calls ago is still the mood unless you change it. The register controls exist for exactly that: say softer, blunter or slower and the next line already sounds different, without opening a new thread and losing everything behind it.

What continuity is not is intimacy with a person. She is a written character running on a model, she cannot see you, and she will not be waiting between visits in any sense that matters. Reading the memory as evidence of something on the other side is the one mistake this format invites, and it is worth saying out loud on the page that sells it.

What works well

  • Names, plans and running jokes carry between calls without prompting
  • The register moves mid-thread and applies from the very next line
  • Subjects can be ruled out permanently and stay ruled out
  • Threads survive closing the tab, the browser and the week
  • No account, camera or microphone needed to start one

Worth knowing first

  • Continuity is not a person on the other side, and should not be read as one
  • A long thread has inertia — the mood you set persists until you change it
  • Deeper memory and longer sessions sit behind an optional upgrade
  • 18+ only, and every character is fictional

The same character, three different weeks

The frames change with who you are talking to; the thread underneath them does not restart.

Week one: everything is still being established, including whether you like her.

Week three: she brings up something you said once and had already forgotten.

Week six: the conversation opens mid-thought, because it never really closed.

04In practice

How the memory shows itself

It rarely arrives as a recap. What happens instead is that a detail turns up sideways — she asks whether you took the earlier train after all, or whether the neighbour ever replied. Two or three of those in a row is the point where most people stop testing it and start just talking, which is measurable in how long the threads get rather than in anything on a marketing page.

It also works in the other direction. Tell her a subject is off the table and it stays off, in this call and in the next one. That is the same mechanism as the memory, and it is the reason boundaries here are durable instead of something you have to restate every time you open the tab.

05Quick answers

The long thread — quick answers

01

How far back does the memory go?

Across sessions and across weeks: names, plans, preferences and running jokes carry forward without you repeating them. It is context rather than a transcript, so the important things persist and the small talk of a given evening does not.
02

Can I wipe the thread and start over?

Yes. A thread can be cleared, and a cleared one opens exactly like a first call. You can also keep the thread and simply change the register instead, which is the option most people reach for once they have one running.
03

Does she know she is a character?

The site never presents her as anything else. She is a written fictional adult running on a model, with no camera, no location and no existence between your visits — and the interface prints that on the call frame rather than hiding it in a footer.
04

What happens to the thread if I never come back?

Nothing. There are no notifications, no re-engagement messages and no counter of days since your last visit. Open the tab in three months and the thread is where you left it, which is the only claim a companion product should make.
